This post is going to be exceedingly long because SO much happened today and I want to remember it forever. So I'm going to write about my adventure :)
Stella and I got up at 7 AM to go to Blue Plate for an early breakfast before the 5K we planned to run this morning. We were tired, of course, so deliriousness was a factor. While waiting for our omelets, we decided to build fortresses with creamers, sugar packets and jelly packets. Oh yes. I like to connect with my inner five-year-old at least once a day, and Stella easily helps me do that. We then ran our 5K in the snow/rain. We ran like HEALTH. It was a great morning. We then got free coupons to Juicy Berry, so decided to head down there for some frozen yogurt, even though we were freezing (again, deliriousness still there). And I'll say it right now and stand by it forever, SPOON ME IS BETTER. It always will be :) Afterwards, we headed up to shower and get warm clothes. Then we met up with Taylor and headed to a traditional Native American powwow. It was way cool!! Lots of dancing and fun. Then we got hungry and weren't exactly craving Indian tacos, so we headed up to the HC for lunch, but it was closed. Sooo, we headed to Carlucci's Bakery for the BEST tomato basil soup. YUM! It was delicious. Taylor headed off to work, and Stella and I headed to Gateway for a little shopping :) We shopped til we almost dropped, and by seven, we headed up to the dorms to get ready for an exciting night out.
So here's where it gets good.
We got ready in Stella's room: Me, Taylor and Stella. The plan was to go to a fashion show in Salt Lake. But we (being typical girls) took forever to get ready and were running late. So we decided to skip the show, go grab dinner, and then head to the after party. We went to Smith's and got sushi (chips and hummus for vegetarian me!!!), and headed over to Spoon Me to eat (JP work's there, so we figured we could go use the table and chairs there). After a not very filling dinner, we drove over to the fashion show, and headed inside. After laughing like hyena's for a good twenty minutes while sitting on a bench, we decided to go dance. We danced and danced and laughed and laughed. Not the greatest electronic music, not the best group of people, but we had a bit of help having more fun despite this. We decided to leave at about 11:30, becoming more bored with each minute. We made our way up to the dorms, searching for somewhere else to go. After numerous phone calls and no avail, we decided to head to JP's to hang out for awhile. We did, watching YouTube videos and who knows what else, while more laughing occurred. I eventually fell asleep, until I was (rudely!!) awakened and forced to walk back in the freezing cold to the dorms (it wasn't that cold, I was just tired...). We got ready for bed in Stella's tiny room, and were awakened (again!) by their friend Travis, who needed somewhere to stay. So after lots of Peeps throwing, random laughing, and eating ("I'm hungry!") the four of us finally fell asleep around 4 AM.
Oh man, what a night.
Oh and just so everyone knows, chickens don't fly.
And honestly, this post doesn't compare to this actual night, I swear.
